Ohio Food, Agriculture, and Related Businesses Workforce Needs Survey

Ohio State University Extension, along with its 4-H Youth Development program, invites participation in a brief 10-minute survey designed to collect insights on job recruitment practices, retention strategies, and training needs across Ohio’s agricultural, food, and forestry industries. 

This effort is part of a larger multi-state project – Empowering the Next Generation Ag & Food Systems Workforce via Experiential Learning – aiming to better prepare the workforce and enhance 4-H initiatives promoting careers in these sectors.

The survey is anonymous with an optional section at the end for those willing to provide contact information for a follow-up interview to discuss workforce needs more deeply.

It is recommended that a knowledgeable individual within the organization, familiar with workforce management and aged 18 or above, responds to this survey. To participate, please access the survey via the provided [LINK] or by scanning the QR code below, no later than May 31, 2024.

Input from industry professionals is crucial in shaping effective workforce development strategies for Ohio’s key economic sectors.
