The figure comes from a Talker Research survey of 2,000 workers and 1,000 IT decision makers, commissioned by Hewlett-Packard (HP). One in three respondents has considered quitting because of outdated or frustrating tech, and a similar share says current tools add to stress. Eighty-five percent point to repetitive tasks as a top driver of burnout.

"When creative potential is buried under administrative burden, companies waste talent."
