Emerging Leaders Visit Canton, Ohio

The OAIMA Emerging Leaders Program session three, focused on “Communications Excellence, Management, Leadership and Followership”.  As part of the program, attendees were treated to a dinner and tour of the Pro Football Hall of Fame hosted by Jeremy Haase, Great Lakes Sales Manager at Austin Powder.

As geographic and geologic awareness are an integral part of the program, this session took place in Canton, Ohio and featured a tour of the Belden Brick clay/shale mining and brick manufacturing facilities as well as a visit to Stone Products headquarters.

Participants learned about the unique challenges associated with clay and Shale mining from Brad Belden, John Streb and Joe Angel.

 

Stone Products hosted a tour of their full-service facility featuring fabrication, refurbishment services, parts and sales. The day was capped off with dinner hosted by Stone Products at the wonderful Gervasi Vineyard.  Much thanks to Mike Blumenauer, Levi Simmons, Joe Carbenia, Terri Hershberger, Jennifer Fendler and Greg Klein for an informative and delicious evening.

During our introduction to the team as Stone, participants were able to learn about the culture, mission and guiding principles that make Stone Products such a success.
