Emerging Leaders visit the Statehouse

Session 4 of the 2025 Emerging Leaders Program focused on the Ohio Legislature, how bills become law and how OAIMA works with the Ohio General Assembly to promote and protect the interests of our members.  The week included visits to the Ohio Statehouse to view the Senate Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee in action.

The 2025 Emerging Leaders visit the Senate Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee.  Chairman Tim Schaffer (center, blue tie) spoke to the group about what qualities make a great leader.

 

The Emerging Leaders also witnessed a voting session of the Full Ohio Senate as well as the Full Ohio House.  A tour of the historic Ohio statehouse followed. 

Melissa Hoeffel (CHW Advisors) talks about how a bill becomes law and updated the group on SB181.

The 2025 OAIMA Emerging Leaders program is in the books.  The program will conclude with an Emerging Leaders graduation at the 2025 Annual Meeting and Trade Show.  Each year, we are fortunate to help educate and provide leadership tools to these future industry leaders.  Thank you to all our members who continue to support this program either by hosting a visit or event, or by allowing their employees to participate. 

We look forward to recognizing this year's Emerging Leaders class and look forward to another great year in 2026.
