The Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Ohio Department of Public Safety and the Ohio Aggregates & Industrial Minerals Association recently partnered to provide a Truck Weight and Safety Workshop. Over 80 were in attendance including 26 Ohio Troopers, Motor Carrier Enforcement and Vehicle Inspection personnel for an enlightening presentation from Ohio State Troopers.

Following the presentation, a live truck weighing demonstration provided attendees with a first-hand look at how trucks are weighed in the field and factors that can influence variations in axle-weight measurements. The demonstration included a truck courtesy of Redwey Transportation, a Ready-Mix truck supplied by Buckeye Ready Mix and a loader courtesy of Rudd Equipment.
