Too often, leaders who believe what they feel is right misconstrue they are right

There is a new orthodoxy quietly sweeping through executive leadership circles. It goes by many names—embodied awareness, whole-self management, conscious leadership—but the core message is the same: Intuition and spiritual presence are the foundations of strategic leadership.

At first glance, this seems like progress. Who wouldn't prefer a leader who is self-aware and emotionally attuned? In a business world riddled with brittle egos and performative hustle, a little more reflection is a breath of fresh air. However, therein the problem lies.
