NWS Issues Extreme Heat Watch for Ohio

Summer kicks off with temps soaring into the 90s

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued an Extreme Heat Watch for Ohio as summer kicks off this weekend with temperatures soaring to at least 90 degrees.

A heat dome will bring stifling heat and uncomfortable humidity to millions across the United States. This will be the first stretch of true summertime weather for many states from the Midwest to the East Coast, experts say. The soupy conditions will stretch into next week, and the humid conditions will make it feel extra hot.

The extreme heat watch is expected to remain in effect through Tuesday.
