Elevated Heat, Humidity Expected to Hit Central Ohio on Tuesday and Wednesday

The heat index will topple 100

The hot and humid weather has returned after some really nice temperatures last week.

As the area of high pressure that has dominated our weather in central Ohio slowly moves eastward, that will allow surface winds to come from the south, ushering in summer-like heat.

Humidity will slowly be on the rise early this week. As dew points push into the upper 60s and low 70s, heat index values will go on the rise as well. It's looking like Tuesday should be mostly dry and hot, with temperatures in the mid to upper 90s and the heat index near 100.
