The Ohio Poultry Association (OPA) announced its 2024 award recipients during their annual celebration banquet held on Sept. 12 in Columbus. This year, one organization received the Industry Partner Award, and three individuals received the Rising Star Award.
“The Industry Partner Award recognizes those who have contributed to the success of our work,” said OSAP Board Member Jim Chakeres, OPA's executive vice president. “The recipient of this award has collaborated closely with OPA to further our mission to protect the health and well-being of Ohio’s chickens and turkeys; provide safe, quality and affordable food products to our neighbors; and support the next generation of poultry farmers."
In addition to the Industry Partner Award, the association honored three individuals with the Rising Star Award. These individuals have excelled within their fields and exhibit strong leadership qualities.
