On Sunday, Governor Mike DeWine declared a state of emergency in 11 counties that were hit hard by last week’s severe weather.
The declaration orders state departments and agencies to lend their services, equipment, supplies and personnel to assist in response and recovery efforts.
DeWine also activated the Ohio National Guard to help Logan County officials with clean-up after an EF3 tornado destroyed dozens of homes and businesses and left debris scattered throughout the county.
